Ok, straight off the bat let me just say that writing your own bio isn't all that much fun. Its not cool and it certainly isn't awesome. If you think it is then clearly you are crazy.
Simply put, I am Erin, just a girl with a camera.
I remember as a teen wanting to be a photographer. A real photographer. Not someone who just takes pictures, but a full fledged photographer. I also remember someone telling me that was a silly career goal, there was no money to be made being a photographer, and to think about other career options. So, reluctantly I let go of the idea.
I have always enjoyed photos. They capture a fleeting moment and turn it into something tangible. They allow us to remember those moments for months and years to come.
So here I am now: a girl with a camera. I do not for one moment claim to be a professional. The bit I do know I have learned as I have gone along. Some shots are fluke, some are intentional. And like many of the greats out there went through, for every 100 shots I take, I get 5 that actuall turn out.
My camera goes just about everywhere with me. My two favorite things to photograph are my nieces. They are growing up far too quickly, and the photos I do get allow me to remember them as the itty bitties they'll always be to me.
To me each photo, no matter the subject tells a story, and holds a memory. Like I mentioned earlier I'm far from a professional and most times will admit I have no idea what it is I'm doing. But judging from some of the feedback I've gotten I'm doing something at least partially right.
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy!
